Senior Purchaser (Oil & Gas)

About the role

A multinational Oil & Gas company is looking for a Senior Purchaser (m/f) to join its procurement team, reporting to the Procurement Manager. The role covers the full source-to-contract process, including sourcing, tendering, contract administration and supplier management.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out the source-to-contract process for goods, services and TAS, preparing call-for-tender documentation and tender evaluation procedures
• Issue contracts and service/purchase orders after liaising with technical teams to incorporate technical requirements
• Evaluate contractual, technical and commercial proposals and help prepare the recommendation to award report
• Prepare final contract documents, obtain validations and ensure contracts are managed in line with their terms
• Manage the close-out of the pre-contract phase, including unsuccessful tenderer notifications and storage of tender documentation
• Process purchase requisitions, propose bidder lists, study and compare offers and lead negotiations with suppliers
• Ensure suppliers deliver on time, handle amendments and keep the supplier database and purchasing data up to date in SAP / Unisol
• Apply the company's Code of Conduct, TEPMA1 general terms and conditions, and ensure procurement meets audit requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent certification
• 6 to 7 years of professional experience, minimum 2 years in technical contracts, with exposure to operations
• Mozambican nationality; living in the local area is an advantage
• Advanced negotiation skills, customer-oriented, good communication in written and spoken English
• Ability to work under pressure, in a multicultural, cross-functional environment, with a team spirit

Required skills

• Intermediate technical purchasing competencies; basic to intermediate other technical competencies recommended
• C&P tools advanced certification
• Knowledge of SAP and stock management
• Understanding of commercial, legal and insurance issues
