Systems Engineer Trainee – Client Business Systems

About the role

SPARC Systems is looking for a motivated Systems Engineer Trainee to join its Client Business Systems team in Maputo. You will support enterprise servers, provide technical assistance to clients, and contribute to infrastructure operations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and support enterprise servers and systems, including routine administration, patching and backup operations.
• Respond to incidents and service requests, troubleshoot hardware, OS, application and infrastructure issues, and escalate complex problems as needed.
• Support virtualization, storage, networking and monitoring platforms, assist with system upgrades, migrations and disaster‑recovery activities.
• Maintain accurate system documentation, record incidents and changes, and develop standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration or technical support.
• Experience supporting enterprise users and working in a client‑facing or managed‑services environment is desirable.

Required skills

• Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
• Virtualization, backup, networking and monitoring technologies.
• Incident and service request management.
• Basic knowledge of enterprise server administration.
