Transport Officer (m/f)

About the role

The Transport Officer will manage the vehicle fleet database, coordinate vehicle mobilisation and demobilisation, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements in the oil & gas sector.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the vehicle fleet database, including allocation, documentation, inspections, maintenance and status.
• Coordinate vehicle mobilisation/demobilisation, registration, inspections, maintenance and repairs.
• Administer leased, rented and company‑owned vehicles, handling contracts, availability, damage assessment and insurance claims.
• Manage IVMS equipment and fuel‑card administration, covering installation, maintenance, allocation and inventory.
• Support professional driver services administration, including shift coverage, timesheets, overtime and transport requirements.
• Monitor fleet and transport costs, verify documentation and invoices, and prepare KPIs and performance reports.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, leasing companies, workshops, insurers, IVMS providers and authorities.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or equivalent in Logistics, Transport, Fleet Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in transport, fleet administration or logistics.
• Previous experience in oil & gas or major project environments is an advantage.
• Practical knowledge of vehicle administration, maintenance follow‑up, HSE and transport compliance.
• Fluent Portuguese and good working knowledge of English (written and spoken).
• Strong organisational and reporting abilities, with the capacity to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Valid driving licence; local residence and Mozambican nationality are advantageous.
