Utilities Infrastructure Coordinator (m/f)

About the role

The Utilities Infrastructure Coordinator is responsible for the technical and operational control of water and sewage treatment plants, ensuring contractor performance meets contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the company’s representative for day‑to‑day control of WTP and STP operations and maintenance contractors.
• Monitor contractor performance against KPIs, SLAs and contractual obligations, and initiate corrective actions when needed.
• Validate contractor procedures, risk assessments, technical and laboratory reports, and approve invoices.
• Oversee process performance at sewage treatment plants, including aeration, sludge management, disinfection and effluent quality compliance.
• Manage wellfield operations, groundwater treatment trains and water quality monitoring to meet WHO drinking‑water standards.
• Verify preventive maintenance execution, spare‑parts inventory and chemical stock, and sign off critical maintenance activities.
• Produce daily and monthly utilities reports and support regulatory reporting and audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher diploma in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or Water & Wastewater Technology.
• 10‑15 years of hands‑on experience operating, maintaining and repairing sewage and water treatment plants.
• Proven responsibility for multiple plants (up to 1,500 m³/day) and remote camp installations.
• Experience treating borehole and groundwater to potable standards.
