Compliance Officer – Full Time

About the role

The Compliance Officer will ensure compliance for the Integrated Development project of Zinave National Park, managed under an IUCN grant. Reporting to the Head of Operations and Development, the role focuses on community, infrastructure, and conservation management within the park.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and coordinate Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and Environmental and Social Safeguard Management System (ESMS) processes at the project level.
• Support rollout of M&E and ESMS training for project stakeholders.
• Coordinate data collection, ensure data integrity and quality, and manage the project’s Stakeholder and Complaints Registers.
• Monitor safeguarding tools across the project landscape and report to the Project Risk and Compliance Committee.
• Assist the HOD and Project Manager in preparing monthly and quarterly reports.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in a similar environment, preferably with a qualification in Social/Environmental Safeguards, M&E, Environmental Management or Social Sciences.
• Strong administrative and multitasking abilities.
• Full professional proficiency in spoken and written Portuguese and English; knowledge of Shangaan is a plus.
• Mozambican citizenship.
• Experience in report writing and familiarity with social and environmental safeguard requirements.
• Willingness and ability to live and work in remote conditions.
