Compliance Regulatory Senior Officer

About the role

The Compliance Regulatory Senior Officer will coordinate regulatory compliance activities across diverse teams and jurisdictions in Mozambique, ensuring consistent policies and presenting senior stakeholders with a clear view of compliance risks.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in designing and overseeing ABM Compliance and cluster risk management strategies.
• Develop and maintain the compliance operating model aligned with global best practice and local requirements.
• Lead the delivery of compliance activities, acting as the central point for regulatory compliance, policy frameworks, new product approvals, and reporting.
• Manage the function’s financial plan and operational budget in line with strategic objectives.
• Build relationships with senior business leaders to promote proactive regulatory risk management.
• Contribute to Africa Compliance strategy, set performance targets, and conduct monthly oversight reviews.

Required profile

• Higher Diploma in Business, Commerce or Management Studies.
• Extensive experience in regulatory compliance within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of Mozambique regulatory environment and ABM Group requirements.
