Nutrition Technical Officer – EpiC MNCH+N Project

About the role

FHI 360 is looking for a Nutrition Technical Officer to join the EpiC MNCH+N Project in Zambezia, Mozambique. The role focuses on improving nutrition, maternal, neonatal and child health outcomes through quality improvement and capacity building in health facilities and communities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Senior Nutrition Technical Officer to ensure quality, consistency and effectiveness of nutrition services at facility and community levels.
• Provide hands‑on technical assistance for maternal nutrition, infant and young child feeding (IYCF), acute malnutrition management and other priority nutrition interventions.
• Plan, deliver and follow‑up nutrition trainings, mentoring and supportive supervision for district, facility and community providers.
• Strengthen supervision and guidance systems to ensure adherence to national nutrition standards, guidelines and protocols.
• Apply quality‑improvement approaches within nutrition service delivery under senior technical guidance.
• Ensure all activities comply with Ministry of Health (MISAU) standards and approved SOPs.
