Programme Management Officer – Counter-Terrorism

About the role

The United Nations Office of Counter‑terrorism is seeking a Programme Management Officer to support the operationalisation of the National Counter Terrorism Centre in Maputo, Mozambique. The role will lead implementation, monitoring and evaluation of counter‑terrorism programmes and coordinate with national and international partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate assigned programmes and projects, monitoring progress and analysing results.
• Review relevant documents and reports, identify issues and initiate corrective actions.
• Liaise with relevant parties, ensure follow‑up actions and maintain coordination with stakeholders.
• Support the Head of the Law Enforcement Unit and the Chief of the Special Projects and Innovations Branch on inter‑governmental relations, donor support and outreach with national security institutions.
• Provide local expertise and advice on programmes and policies.
• Conduct consulting assignments, plan and facilitate workshops, and assist in developing action plans for clients.
