Project Assistant – MNCH Project (Temporary, 3 months)

About the role

The Project Assistant will support the implementation of the MUAVULUXE maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH) project in Nampula Province, Mozambique. Based in Nampula, the role involves frequent travel to project sites in Nacala Porto and Ilha de Moçambique, working closely with consortium partners, district health authorities and community structures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide field‑level support for project activities, focusing on strengthening policy dialogue and community health data use.
• Reactivate and facilitate multisectoral district‑level forums to promote community participation in health governance.
• Coordinate with consortium partners (EHALE, ELOS, FAMED/UEM) and local health authorities to ensure alignment of activities.
• Assist in the collection, analysis and dissemination of health data for community use.
• Support reporting, documentation and logistical arrangements for field visits.

Required profile

• Experience working on community‑based health or development projects.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently to remote project sites.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with partners, authorities and community members.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Program Manager and follow project guidelines.
