Project Leader (International Development)

About the role

The Project Leader will oversee the delivery of Ipas Mozambique’s assigned projects, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and timeline commitments while advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage work plans, budgets, and timelines for assigned projects.
• Monitor financial and performance data, conduct regular internal progress reviews, and prepare donor-facing reports.
• Lead external project reviews with donors and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Supervise a multi‑disciplinary, matrixed implementation team across multiple provinces.
• Collaborate with technical experts to guarantee compliance with Mozambican, donor, and Ipas quality standards.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, using data‑driven decision‑making to improve outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading multi‑disciplinary teams in an NGO or development context.
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, financial monitoring, and donor reporting.
• Ability to coordinate with provincial offices and external partners.
• Experience ensuring compliance with program and clinical quality standards.
• Demonstrated capacity to analyze monitoring data and drive performance improvements.
