Provincial Coordinator for ECHO Project in Mozambique

About the role

The Provincial Coordinator will provide strategic, technical and operational leadership for the ECHO HIV/AIDS project at the provincial level in Mozambique. Reporting to the Deputy Chief of Party for Health Systems Strengthening, you will guide implementation across health facilities and communities, working closely with government counterparts and partners to ensure high‑quality, sustainable program delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the provincial team in delivering integrated technical assistance to health facilities and communities.
• Promote data‑informed decision‑making and strengthen the use of routine data for program improvement.
• Oversee design and implementation of quality‑improvement strategies.
• Support multidisciplinary teams to strengthen patient‑centered service delivery models.
• Ensure alignment of interventions with national policies and priorities.
• Lead capacity‑building strategies for government counterparts and health‑facility teams.
• Strengthen planning, supervision, data use and performance‑management systems.
• Mentor provincial teams and drive performance through government engagement and adaptive program management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in health‑systems strengthening and HIV/AIDS program implementation.
• Demonstrated leadership managing multidisciplinary teams and government partnerships.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to use routine health data for decision‑making.
• Knowledge of Mozambique’s health policies and the Ministry of Health structures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
