HSE Contractor Management Advisor

About the role

The HSE Contractor Management Advisor will be based in Maputo and support TotalEnergies project sites across Mozambique and abroad. The role focuses on ensuring contractors understand and comply with TotalEnergies HSE standards, while developing and executing a comprehensive HSE audit program.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and continuously improve an integrated Health, Safety & Environment audit program for TEPMA1.
• Perform self‑assessments, identify gaps, and create action plans to close them.
• Plan and execute internal and external HSE audits, record findings in One Synergi, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Prepare and present audit results to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
• Support contractors in understanding TotalEnergies HSE requirements, conduct HSE tours, and assist with compliance action plans.
• Develop and manage the Safety Contract Owner program and HSE tender evaluation tools.
• Coordinate with Contracts, Procurement, and external audit teams to ensure timely audit execution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HSE audit, risk assessment, and contractor management within the energy or industrial sector.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and other HSE certification standards.
• Ability to work on-site in Maputo and travel to project locations as required.
• Strong communication skills to interface with internal teams, contractors, and external auditors.
