Senior Civil Engineer – Infrastructure & Construction

About the role

The organisation is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to lead civil engineering and construction projects across its infrastructure and logistics portfolio. You will be responsible for managing greenfield, brownfield, refurbishment and major maintenance works from feasibility through to hand‑over and ongoing facilities management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering and construction projects from design to completion and handover.
• Manage greenfield, brownfield, refurbishment, extension and major maintenance projects.
• Coordinate engineers, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Control project scope, budgets, programmes, quality and delivery.
• Review designs, technical proposals, construction methodologies and contractor submissions.
• Oversee construction activities and resolve technical and project‑related issues.
• Conduct value‑engineering and feasibility assessments as required.
• Develop and manage preventative and reactive maintenance programmes for buildings and infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical input to senior management and mentor engineering staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 10–12 years of experience in civil engineering, construction or project management.
• Proven experience delivering greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Strong experience in facilities, infrastructure and maintenance management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules and multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent in English; Portuguese is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel as required.
